NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — Police say a New Hampshire man suffered burn injuries from attempting to make methamphetamine in his home in the presence of his wife and two young children.

Thirty-four-year-old Raymond Champagne of Nashua was charged with manufacturing the drug. He also was charged with two counts of prohibited conduct, as was his wife, 32-year-old Melissa Champagne.

Authorities got a call to the house on Jan. 15. They later condemned the residence as unsafe.

The couple were being arraigned Thursday.
