RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia lawmakers are teaming up to raise money for cancer research.
Gov. Bob McDonnell is hosting the Capitol Square Basketball Classic on Tuesday night at the Siegel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
McDonnell and his staff are set to take on a team of lobbyists in the first game of the evening.
That game will be followed by a match featuring members of the state Senate and House of Delegates.
The event benefits the VCU Massey Cancer Center.
