LIMA, Ohio (AP) — Groups representing both Republicans and Democrats have filed for permits to gather on the town square on the day of Gov. John Kasich's (KAY'-sik's) State of the State address in Lima next week.

The Lima News (http://bit.ly/128PMjC ) reports that the chairman of the Allen County Republican Party and the Ohio Democratic Party filed for permits with the city of Lima, which will host Kasich for the event Feb. 19.

At least one other group has asked about using the square, but no one else has filed the paperwork.

Kasich will speak at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center, which is on the town square in the northwestern Ohio city.
