Bedbugs found in book bindings close library

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — Southwestern Michigan officials say bedbugs found in book bindings prompted them to close a Kalamazoo Public Library branch.

MLive.com and TV stations WWMT and WOOD report the bedbugs were found during an inspection at the Washington Square Branch.

The books had been returned in a drop box. The bedbugs since have been destroyed, and the branch was closed Monday.

Dogs trained to detect bedbugs will be at the library on Tuesday to inspect the building. The library will reopen after it gets the all-clear.
