MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) — Meriden police say they suspect carbon monoxide poisoning caused the deaths of two people found inside a snow-covered car parked in a driveway.
Officers say the bodies of a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were found Sunday morning in a car parked in a driveway off Webster Street. Police told the Record-Journal of Meriden there were paths shoveled alongside the vehicle, but the rest of it was covered with snow and the windows were rolled up.
The two victims' names haven't been released. The chief medical examiner's office will be performing autopsies to confirm their identities and causes of death.
If the deaths are deemed to be related to the blizzard on Friday and Saturday, that would bring the number of Connecticut deaths blamed on the storm to seven.
