BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. (AP) — Authorities hunting for a former Los Angeles police officer suspected of three killings are searching his mother's home in La Palma, Calif.
Irvine police Lt. Bill Whalen says his department and U.S. Marshals served the search warrant Friday while Christopher Dorner's mother and sister were home. Whalen says the family is cooperating.
Computer forensics lab technicians are also on hand to analyze computers for evidence.
Whalen says Dorner used to live at the home, but there's nothing that indicates he's been there recently.
Dorner is suspected in a spree of violence as part of a vendetta against law enforcement after being fired by the LAPD.
A former LAPD captain's daughter and her fiance were killed in Irvine last weekend. Two other shootings left an officer dead and two others wounded.
