DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Ohio's governor next takes his budget plan road show to southwest Ohio.

Gov. John Kasich (KAY'-sik) plans to lead a panel discussion at a Dayton business on Thursday afternoon. His office says small business owners and economic policy experts will participate.

The Republican governor on Monday proposed a sweeping two-year plan that reworks state taxation. Taxes on small businesses would be cut 50 percent in a move to support economic development.

Kasich has been promoting his tax plan and proposed education overhaul around the state ahead of his Feb. 19 State of the State speech in Lima (LY'-muh).
