Ohio family still seeks answers on 9-year-old girl

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A southwest Ohio family remains haunted by questions about their little girl's final moments, and by tantalizing hints that never pan out.

Nine-year-old Erica Baker went missing 14 years ago this week, after going outside to walk her dog. It is believed she was killed in a hit-and-run accident that a man five years later talked to police about.

However, no one was ever charged directly with her death, and her remains have not been found.

The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/11qIR69 ) reports that her family still wonders about what happened to her at the end. And tips continue to come in and be ruled out — such as a recent one that Baker was a college student in New Jersey.
