NEW LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in western Ohio say a former girls softball coach is accused of having a long-term sexual relationship with a teenage girl that started when she was 13.

The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/XjApxk ) reports that the victim — now an adult — initiated the investigation against 43-year-old Thomas Zimpfer last year. He was indicted last week by the Montgomery County grand jury on charges of rape and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Authorities say Zimpfer started the relationship with the girl seven years ago. He never coached the girl in any sport, but previously coached third- and fourth-grade girls softball in New Lebanon, near Dayton.

He is being held with no bond. Jail records didn't indicate if he had an attorney.
