NH high student diagnosed with meningitis

WINDHAM, N.H. (AP) — School officials in Windham, N.H., are working with state health department officials after a high school student was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.

Students at Windham High School are starting their day Monday with a meeting on the matter.

WMUR-TV reports (http://bit.ly/VyGYMC) Windham High School Principal Tom Murphy said crews sanitized the building over the weekend.

The student has been hospitalized and is taking antibiotics.

Murphy said in a letter addressed to parents that the Health Department is reaching out to those who were in close contact with the infected student.
