Ohio officer shoots suspect in buttocks

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Columbus police say an officer shot and wounded a man when the man raised a weapon on the officer.

Police said that patrol officers made a traffic stop Saturday evening when a passenger in the vehicle got out and ran. Police said an officer chased the suspect on foot and shot him when the suspect pulled a firearm on the officer.

Police said the suspect, who was shot in the buttocks, was listed in stable condition at a hospital.
