Some education leaders and other Ohioans say they are encouraged by what they're seeing so far in Ohio Gov. John Kasich's (KAY'-sik's) school funding overhaul, while wanting to know more.

StudentsFirst Ohio, part of a national bipartisan organization seeking change in public education, says it looks like a step in right direction toward improving education opportunities for all children.

The group Ohio eSchool Families and Friends Coalition approves of Kasich's plan to expand school vouchers, and the support for charter schools including online schools.

One southwest Ohio resident says she also likes expansion of school choice, and believes more competition will make public schools better.

Some Democrats and teachers unions are criticizing the plan for lack of details and their lack of involvement in developing it.
