Lansing to host expo on women's health, beauty

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — The 13th annual Mid-Michigan Women's Expo in Lansing is offering a weekend full of health, beauty, shopping and more.

Lansing Center will host 275 "women-owned and women-focused businesses" beginning Friday at 10 a.m. Activities start at 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Women can receive health screenings and talk with physicians about health care concerns. Participants can also hear from Helen Phillips on living a healthy lifestyle. Phillips is the 2009 winner of "The Biggest Loser."

The expo will also offer massages and spa treatments.

Tickets are available now for $7 at Lansing-area Meijer stores. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 6-14.
