PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — The Sundance Film Festival has never been sexier.
The annual independent-film showcase in Park City, Utah, has featured a slew of sexually themed movies this year in its premiere, dramatic competition, new-technology and midnight categories.
Festival founder Robert Redford says the on-screen sex of today is often devoid of the romance that was essential in late 1960s, when he first started making movies.
Among the films exploring this most basic of human behaviors are dramatic contenders "Afternoon Delight" and "Concussion," in which the female protagonists use sexual expression to work through their mid-life crises; premiere films "Don Jon's Addiction," ''Lovelace" and "The Look of Love," which explore different aspects of pornography; and the documentary "kink," about the leading producer of bondage-and-discipline porn.
Sundance continues through Sunday.
