COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Thousands of people with stars in their eyes are in Columbus to audition for NBC's "America's Got Talent."

The Columbus Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/T4icbM ) that close to 5,000 people from Ohio and nearby states are expected to show up for the open audition on Sunday.

It's the first time the show has had tryouts in Columbus. The city is one of 14 that the show is stopping in to find new acts.

There are no age limits, but the performers get just 90 seconds to impress the show's producers.

Among those waiting for their shot at stardom are plenty of singers, dancers, guitar players, rappers, comedians, and even a few animal acts.
