OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A longtime employee of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services has been named director of the agency's Developmental Disabilities Services Division.

DHS says Jo Anne Goin will succeed Jim Nicholson — who is retiring Jan. 31.

Goin has been with DHIS for 38 years — starting as a social worker in 1974 and working in the DDSD since 1988. She has worked as an area manager since 1993.

Goin earned her bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Oklahoma and her master's in social work from the University of Denver.
