NORTH RANDALL, Ohio (AP) — The owner of a northeast Ohio horse track is sounding the call for workers.

Thistledown's race track in suburban Cleveland plans to hire 600 people and is holding a job fair Saturday.

WKYC-TV in Cleveland (http://on.wkyc.com/U9gwf6 ) reports that the track's $88 million expansion is on time to open in the spring

Thistledown's is adding new restaurants, shops, off-track betting booths and slots-like video lottery terminals.

Caesar's Entertainment owns the track and is building the racino.

One racino has already opened in the state at Scioto Downs in Columbus and six others are in various stages of licensing and construction.
