MARION, Ala. (AP) — Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley will travel to Perry County Friday to visit the county's first dialysis center and several locations in the county as part of his Road to Economic Recovery Tour.
The governor will attend an open house beginning at 10 a.m. at the Perry County Dialysis Center. The new dialysis facility will give patients a location close to home to receive dialysis treatment and avoid an up to 100-mile roundtrip to receive the life-saving treatments.
At 10:45 a.m. Bentley is scheduled to tour Marion Military Institute. He will meet with school leaders and cadets.
Bentley is scheduled to visit at noon with local residents at Lottie's Restaurant in Marion. The governor routinely visits counties across the state as part of his Road to Economic Recovery Tour.
