SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A Spokane County woman in her 80s has died this week from the flu.
The Washington State Department of Health says there have been six other flu-related deaths this season, all on the west side of the state.
The Spokane Regional Health District says flu cases continue to rise in Spokane County. The Spokesman-Review reports about 35 residents have been hospitalized with the flu, compared to four admissions during the same period last year.
