PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Firefighters in downtown Portland, Ore., are cutting through a parking garage wall to rescue a woman who somehow got wedged between two buildings.

Crews were called about 4 a.m. Wednesday after a passer-by heard a scream, and the woman was found in a tight space at the Gretchen Kafoury Commons.

KGW reports (http://bit.ly/V4KzDs ) firefighters first tried a rope rescue then decided to cut through a concrete block wall to free her.
