PHOENIX (AP) — Supplies of the flu vaccine are running short at some pharmacies and clinics in the Phoenix area.

Public health officials say flu shots and mist still can be found but that that people may need to call around to find locations with supplies.

The Arizona Republic (http://bit.ly/VJZMw3 ) reports there's been a surge in demand since public health officials last week declared that the flu is widespread in Arizona, along with nearly all other states.

State Health Services Director Will Humble says there'll probably be little chance of finding vaccine within another two weeks.
