NEW BAVARIA, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in northwest Ohio say the bodies of a Florida man and his 10-year-old daughter were found in a parked vehicle, and their deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide amid a custody dispute.

The Henry County sheriff's office found the bodies Monday while responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle on a rural road about 50 miles southwest of Toledo. Sheriff Michael Bodenbender says both people had gunshot wounds, and a 9-mm handgun was found at the scene.

They were identified as 47-year-old Timothy Brown and Alexandra Brown of Parrish, Fla., in the Tampa Bay area.

The sheriff says Timothy Brown attended high school in Henry County and his father still lives in the area.

Autopsies were scheduled Tuesday.
