NEW YORK (AP) — NYU Langone Medical Center is resuming pediatric and gynecology services after partially reopening in the wake of damage sustained during Superstorm Sandy.

Hospital officials say all obstetrics and gynecology physicians have returned. Labor and delivery services, pediatrics and the neonatal unit are among other medical services that are back up and running.

The emergency department remains closed. The Manhattan medical center evacuated 300 patients after it lost generator power because of the storm.

A new urgent care center has opened at the hospital's main facility to treat patients requiring immediate care. The hospital officially reopened its doors on Dec. 27.
