Md. counties to hold free flu vaccine clinics

Monday January 14, 2013 2:30 AM

CHEVERLY, Md. (AP) — With flu cases on the rise in Maryland and nationwide, at least two counties in the state are hosting free vaccination clinics.

Prince George's County will offer free nasal-spray flu vaccines in Cheverly and Clinton on Monday.

Anne Arundel County will give away the vaccine at the Glen Burnie Health Center.

No appointments are necessary for the clinics.

State health officials say flu is widespread across Maryland, but there are signs it may be stabilizing. Most of the recent cases involve people over 65. Flu vaccinations are recommended for everybody 6 months or older.
