COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police have arrested a Columbus man in the Saturday shooting death of a 20-year-old man outside a birthday party on the city's north side.
Authorities arrested 25-year-old Dennis Oteng, also known as Dennis Boateng, Sunday.
He is charged with the murder of 20-year-old Kingsley Owusu. Owusu, whose identity wasn't initially known, was found shot in a parking lot at 3439 Westerville Rd. at about 2 a.m. Saturday. He later died.
Witnesses said a dispute at the party led to a fight and the shooting. They did not identify the topic.
The incident marked the city's first homicide of 2013.
