Montana Cannabis partner sentenced to probation

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A federal judge has sentenced a former Helena medical marijuana provider to five years' probation.

U.S. District Judge Dana Christensen sentenced Chris Lindsey Friday in Missoula after Lindsey pleaded guilty to conspiracy to maintain a drug premises.

Christensen also ordered Lindsey not to use marijuana or firearms and to complete 200 hours of community service.

Lindsey was one of four partners in Montana Cannabis, a dispensary raided in 2011 in a federal crackdown on big pot operations.

Thomas Daubert also was sentenced to probation. Richard Flor of Miles City died in federal custody in August.

Chris Williams was found guilty on eight drug and weapons charges. He made a post-conviction plea deal with prosecutors and faces a mandatory minimum of five years when he is sentenced on Feb. 1.
