CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say a 22-year-old exotic dancer was seriously injured when she fell from a second-floor balcony while performing at a club in Cleveland.

The Plain Dealer newspaper (http://bit.ly/10PSo5h ) reports that a witness told police the woman was dancing for him when she tried to perform a move or jump and fell over the rail head first.

The dancer was in critical condition at a hospital following the Wednesday morning incident at Christie's Cabaret near downtown.

Police reports said two men ran out of the club after the woman fell. The investigation is continuing.
