More snow for Ohio to end year

Monday December 31, 2012 8:15 AM

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The last day of 2012 is expected to bring more snow to Ohio.

After a storm last week dumped as much as foot of snow on some areas of Ohio, another 1 to 3 inches is expected during the day Monday and Monday night. As usual, the heaviest is expected in northeast Ohio.

And it's going to get colder. High temperatures for the first day of 2013 may not get out of the 20s, and they'll drop even lower throughout the week.

Most of Ohio's ski slopes and sledding hills are up and running after last week's heavy snow. Some areas got more last week than during all of last year's mild winter.
