NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say a woman who gave birth while under arrest and her boyfriend are facing weapons charges after a substance used to make bombs and papers titled "The Terrorist Encyclopedia" were found in their Manhattan apartment.

The couple was arrested Saturday as police executed a search warrant at their apartment.

Police say the boyfriend, Aaron Greene, is being held without bail after he appeared in court yesterday. Morgan Gliedman, who was nine months pregnant when she was arrested, went into labor and gave birth to a baby girl. Gliedman is hospitalized and has not yet appeared in court.

Police and prosecutors say a plastic container with 7 grams of a white powdery substance known as HMTD was found in the living room. Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says it's difficult to speculate how much damage it would do in that amount.

Kelly says the investigation continues into whether the couple had any larger plans or ties to any radical groups.

Authorities say both defendants had drug problems.
