Minn. coach cleared of child porn reassigned

MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota State University, Mankato, has reassigned a football coach cleared of child pornography charges last month.

But Todd Hoffner's civil attorney tells the Star Tribune that Hoffner has no intentions of abiding by the university's decision to have him serve as assistant athletic director for facilities development.

Attorney Chris Madel says they "intend to fight the university until Mr. Hoffner is restored as head coach of the successful football team he created."

Phone messages left after hours for Madel were not immediately returned to The Associated Press on Friday night.

The university announced the reassignment in a release late Friday. Hoffner would help develop the school's master plan for athletics and recreation facilities.

A judge concluded the videos of Hoffner's children acting silly after a bath were not child porn.
