Monday December 24, 2012 3:45 AM

HILLSBORO, Ohio (AP) — The southwest Ohio community of Highland County will celebrate agriculture in a forum next month.

National Radio Hall of Fame member Orion Samuelson is a featured guest. He has been giving daily farm reports from WGN radio in Chicago for more than five decades.

Local native and director of Ohio's Agriculture Department, David Daniels, is also scheduled for the Jan. 18 event titled "Agriculture is Everybody's Business."

The Times-Gazette newspaper (http://bit.ly/VNDlBq ) reports that the Highland Chamber of Commerce expects hundreds of people to attend its first such event focused on the agriculture community. Officials say the region's farmers really helped keep the local economy going during the national economic downturn.
