LOS ANGELES (AP) — A California man has been arrested after threats against Los Angeles elementary schools were posted on Facebook.

Los Angeles police say a 24-year-old Pomona man (Kyle Bangayan) is being held on $500,000 bail for investigation of making criminal threats.

Police and FBI agents went to the east Hollywood home of the suspect's father after a resident notified authorities about the threatening postings that referred to the deadly school shootings in Connecticut.

Authorities say the father gave permission for a search, and nine weapons were confiscated, including rifles, a shotgun and handguns.

No weapons were found at the suspect's home.
