Ohio bus driver dies after crash; 3 others hurt

CLEVELAND (AP) — A bus driver for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority has died after a crash in University Heights.

Police say 53-year-old Christopher Battle was driving a bus around 3:30 p.m. Sunday when it ran onto a sidewalk near a grocery store and went across a road. Two cars hit the bus and the bus hit a signal control box.

The Plain Dealer reports (bit.ly/RyOw5K) that three people have been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sgt. Mark McArter says police are awaiting an autopsy to determine Battle's cause of death. He says, "It might have been a medical issue."
