SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio teen who won the Scripps National Spelling Bee in 2010 is celebrating another impressive achievement — a perfect SAT score.

The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer (http://bit.ly/Z2gqdo) reports that 16-year-old Anamika Veeramani scored a perfect 2400 on the SAT test, which determines a student's fitness for college.

The junior at Laurel School in the Cleveland suburb of Shaker Heights says she even surprised herself with this one. She said she heard of people receiving a perfect score but thought it was out of her reach.

She is in rare company. According to the College Board, which administers the test, just 382 out of 1,547,990 college-bound seniors scored a 2400 in 2010.

Anamika wants to go to an Ivy League school with the goal of someday becoming a cardiovascular surgeon.
