Dogs ease exam tension at University at Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A dozen therapy dogs are giving students at the University at Buffalo reason to "paws" from their exam prep this week.

The university says it's brought the dogs into libraries as a way to relieve stress for students cramming for finals.

The western New York school is following the lead of other institutions, including Emory University and Kent State.

Research shows that interaction with pets decreases stress.

The dogs will be at two UB libraries through Friday.
