COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Newly released records show that an Ohio man who killed his estranged wife and their daughters had been ordered by his employer to take an anger management class after making threats to kill his family.

The records also show that Kevin Allen had blocked incoming calls to his wife and daughter's phones and purchased a machine to block cell phone calls in the days before the April 12 shooting.

The records obtained by The Associated Press Wednesday also show that Allen told his family at a Cracker Barrel restaurant he was going to take them home and kill them.

Minutes after that Allen killed his wife and one of their daughters and severely wounded the couple's other daughter, who died a month later.

Police killed Kevin Allen outside the restaurant.
