NEW YORK (AP) — New York University Langone Medical Center plans a phased-in re-opening of its main clinical facility, Tisch Hospital, before the end of this month.
The medical center plans a return of nearly all services by the end of January.
NYU Langone said Monday that it is still working to reopen parts of its damaged emergency department as soon as possible.
Hundreds of patients were evacuated floor by floor at the height of Superstorm Sandy. Some rescuers and staff made 10 to 15 trips down darkened stairwells, carrying out the youngest and sickest first.
