BEIJING (AP) — Regulators have canceled a Chinese television game show they deemed vulgar after an unaired segment that showed shouting and swearing leaked online, markng the government's latest attempt to rein in the increasingly freewheeling media sector.

Jiangsu Education Television's Sunday night game show, "Bang Bang Bang," pitted attractive women against each other in a contest for cash prizes. The amateur video posted online starred car model Gan Lulu, known for her racy outfits. The six-minute clip, still available on YouTube, shows audience members and the model's mother shouting and swearing at each other.

The official Xinhua News Agency reported Friday that the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television ordered the show canceled and criticized the clip for showing name-calling, "wanton acts" and "amplifying ugliness."
