COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio's attorney general is warning consumers to proceed with caution when it comes to last-minute sales on tickets to big games or events.

Attorney General Mike DeWine's message came as consumers were being lured by Black Friday sales.

DeWine says Ohioans should be careful when purchasing tickets online from third party vendors or online market places.

His office has received reports of fraudulent tickets being sold for the Michigan-Ohio State football game this weekend. DeWine said the consumer thought he bought tickets online and wired money to have the tickets mailed, but they never arrived.

DeWine is encouraging people to follow tips from the Federal Trade Commission. He says to check with the event organizer, promoter, or venue to find out where tickets are being sold.
