MIAMI (AP) — A South Florida seafood company is recalling some of its salmon products because of possible bacterial contamination.

Michael Gourmet Delicacies announced a recall Tuesday for Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Batch(hash) 1443, which had been sold from June to November in Whole Foods stores throughout Florida.

The recall was the result of a routine sampling by the Florida Department of Agriculture that revealed that the finished product contained Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

Michael Gourmet Delicacies has ceased the sale of the entire affected batch. No illnesses have been reported.
