LANCASTER, Ohio (AP) — Ohio authorities are seeking a jail inmate who escaped after walking away from a job assignment.
Multiple media outlets report that prisoner Elias Ferrar escaped while working at a minimum-security facility Monday morning in Lancaster in southwest Ohio.
Ferrar was an inmate at Fairfield County Jail on charges of a probation violation and possession of drug instruments.
Ferrar, who was unloading a bread truck at the time, scaled a six-foot fence to escape.
Sheriff Dave Phelan says Ferrar is not considered dangerous.
