Ohio teen held in foster mother's stabbing death

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio (AP) — Police in northeast Ohio say an 18-year-old girl is suspected in the stabbing death of her foster mother.

Willoughby Hills police received a 911 call just after 1 a.m. Friday from a hysterical 13-year-old who said her sister was attacking her mother.

Police in the Lake County community northeast of Cleveland found 41-year-old Lisa Knoefel in the master bedroom with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Chief Christopher Collins says the victim's foster child was covered in blood and holding a knife when police arrived.

No motive was specified.
