DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A southwest Ohio police officer is facing possible disciplinary action for alleged improper conduct during decontamination of a 17-year-old female who had been pepper-sprayed.

The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/U02NHd ) says an internal affairs report Wednesday said the male Miami Township police officer hosed off the naked girl without asking for a female officer's help, after she had been decontaminated previously. Other allegations include that he took a photo of her tattoo with his personal cellphone, left the girl to dry herself with only small towels, and didn't file reports and evidence properly.

Police say the girl was pepper-sprayed after fleeing an officer investigating a shoplifting complaint.

Maj. John DiPietro says he is a 26-year officer who is victim of a conspiracy. A disciplinary hearing will continue later this month.
