GREENWOOD, Ind. (AP) — A vigil has been held for a suburban Indianapolis teacher whose home was destroyed in an explosion that ripped through her neighborhood.

Two people were killed in the explosion Saturday night. Officials have not released their names.

However, a candlelight vigil was held at Greenwood's Southwest Elementary School on Sunday night for second-grade teacher Jennifer Longworth. She and her husband, John Dion Longworth, lived at a home destroyed in the blast.

WTHR-TV reports that friends, family and colleagues of Jennifer Longworth gathered at the school.

Superintendent David Edds (eeds) says the Greenwood schools will open two hours late Monday so staff can prepare for how they will talk to students about what happened.
