CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati casino set to open in the spring has started the second phase of its job recruitment effort in its plan to hire a 1,700-member workforce.

Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati is posting more than 45 job descriptions requiring about 400 new workers on its www.HorseshoeCincinnati.com website Friday. The casino says it's committed to hire at least 90 percent of its workers from the Cincinnati area.

Candidates are currently being sought for accounting, finance, facilities, slots and security jobs. The casino also is seeking about a dozen culinary workers including chefs and managers to operate the property's in-house dining and banquet areas. Recruiting for cooks, servers and other food and beverage positions will begin in December.

Casino officials say some newly posted positions require previous experience.
