TROY, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio man accused of raping young boys in his care has pleaded guilty to six rape counts.
The 40-year-old man was charged with 31 felony rape counts in his home Miami County in western Ohio. The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/TxCrMp ) reports that prosecutors say the man will testify in the trial of another man accused of raping one of his sons. They dropped 25 counts and agreed Thursday to recommend a sentence of 60 years in prison. He could have faced life.
He still faces seven related charges in Montgomery County.
He had adopted two of the boys, as well as a girl, and was in the process of adopting the third boy. They were ages 9-12. The Associated Press isn't naming the father to protect the children's identities.
