AMES, Iowa (AP) — The possibility of a big East Coast storm has affected the presidential campaign.
Republican Mitt Romney and Vice President Joe Biden each canceled planned weekend appearances in Virginia Beach, Va.
Campaigning in Iowa yesterday, Romney said President Barack Obama has made things worse after inheriting an already bad economic situation.
Obama, from the White House, looked to the future and a possible second term, saying he's prepared to "wash John Boehner's car" or "walk Mitch McConnell's dog" if it would help complete an elusive deal to cut future deficits by trillions of dollars.
National polls show a tight race. Though Romney aides claimed momentum, Obama's team said the president led or was tied in each of the nine battleground states.
