ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Justice Sonia Sotomayor says her memoir, "My Beloved World," will go on sale to the public in January.

Sotomayor mentioned the title and the release date Friday after speaking to law students at the Equal Justice Works Conference and Career Fair in Arlington, Va.

Sotomayor told students stories about her days in law school, as a prosecutor and now as a justice. She said that many more stories about her life could be found in the book.

Published by Knopf through Random House Inc., the hardcover is set to go on sale on Jan. 15.

Sotomayor is the first Latina justice and the first Supreme court nominee of President Barack Obama.
