AKRON, Ohio (AP) — A trial is continuing in Akron in the case of a teenage suspect in the slayings of three men lured by phony Craigslist job offers.

The prosecution and the attorney for defendant Brogan Rafferty were expected to give closing arguments beginning Thursday.

The 17-year-old Rafferty has testified he went along with the plan only because he feared he would also die if he didn't.

Rafferty has said his onetime mentor, Richard Beasley, had issued a veiled warning to keep quiet.

Beasley, who has pleaded not guilty and will be tried separately, could face the death penalty if convicted.

Rafferty, a juvenile, cannot face the death penalty and instead could receive a life prison sentence without chance of parole if convicted of aggravated murder.
