DOWNEY, Calif. (AP) — At least two people have been killed in a shooting in a Los Angeles suburb.

Downey Fire Department spokesman Jason Patao says the shooting occurred after 11 a.m. Wednesday and there were at least two deaths. He's unsure whether the shooting occurred at a business or at a nearby home, but two locations may be involved.

Television news helicopters are showing crime scenes at a business and on a block of nearby homes.

Police say they are not immediately releasing any information.

Downey is about 20 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
